HOT BLOODED: ONCE UPON A TIME IN KOREA

Cinemavixion Review

Cheon Myeong-Gwan's 'Hot Blooded: Once Upon a Time in Korea' plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of organized crime, presenting a stark narrative of a seasoned gangster's desperate bid for retirement. The film masterfully navigates the treacherous landscape of mob warfare, where loyalty is tested and violence is the only currency. Jung Woo delivers a compelling performance as the protagonist, wrestling with the moral and physical toll of a life steeped in crime. Supported by the formidable presences of Kim Kap-su and Choi Moo-seong, the ensemble cast brings a raw authenticity to their roles. The film's unflinching portrayal of this world, coupled with its compelling character arcs, offers a gripping cinematic experience that resonates long after the credits roll.
