HOSTILE

Cinemavixion Review

Mathieu Turi's 'Hostile' plunges viewers into a desolate, post-apocalyptic landscape where survival hinges on a desperate will to live. Brittany Ashworth delivers a compelling performance as Juliette, a solitary figure battling not only the harsh environment and a debilitating injury but also the encroaching dread of unseen nocturnal horrors. The film masterfully builds tension, leveraging its minimalist setting and the primal fear of the dark to create a palpable sense of unease. While the external data notes a mixed reception on IMDb, its 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes suggests a strong appreciation for its atmospheric horror and Ashworth's harrowing portrayal. 'Hostile' is a grim yet gripping survival thriller that effectively explores human resilience against overwhelming odds, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of intense, character-driven horror.
