HONOR AMONG THIEVES

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's 2021 Western, "Honor Among Thieves," plunges audiences into the rugged landscape of post-Civil War Texas, where a battle-hardened veteran's quest for peace is violently interrupted. The film, starring Thom Hallum and Elizabeth Tabish, explores the escalating lawlessness of the West, portraying a world where trust is a fragile currency and betrayal is a constant threat. Hallum embodies the weary soldier seeking solace, only to find himself embroiled in a desperate fight for survival. The narrative, penned by Jason Watson, effectively captures the grim realities and moral ambiguities of the era. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim, its focused narrative and atmospheric portrayal of the frontier offer a compelling, albeit grim, viewing experience for fans of the Western genre. With a runtime of 81 minutes, "Honor Among Thieves" delivers a concise and intense exploration of resilience against a backdrop of societal decay.
