HOMEBODY

Cinemavixion Review

Joseph Sackett's "Homebody" offers a whimsical exploration of identity and empathy through a fantastical premise. Colby Minifie delivers a compelling performance as the central figure, embodying the confusion and eventual understanding that arises from an unexpected bodily exchange. The film deftly navigates themes of gender and self-discovery, wrapped in a lighthearted, comedic tone that belies its thoughtful core. Supported by strong performances from Tre Ryder and Maria Dizzia, "Homebody" succeeds as a charming and insightful piece of queer cinema. Its blend of fantasy and relatable human experience makes for a unique and memorable viewing, earning its accolades and critical attention.
