HOLLYWOOD KILLS

Cinemavixion Review

Sven Pape's 2006 independent horror offering, "Hollywood Kills," plunges viewers into the dark underbelly of the dream factory. The film centers on a disturbed director who transforms the aspirations of hopefuls into a personalized hell within his private studio. Starring Dominic Keating, Happy Mahaney, and Angela DiMarco, the movie attempts to explore the predatory nature of the entertainment industry. While the premise offers a chilling commentary on ambition and exploitation, the film's execution, as suggested by its modest critical reception and low IMDb rating, may prove divisive. "Hollywood Kills" is a stark, albeit perhaps uneven, portrayal of shattered dreams in the pursuit of stardom.
