HOLLYWOOD DINOSAUR CHRONICLES

Cinemavixion Review

James Forsher's "Hollywood Dinosaur Chronicles" from 1987 offers a fascinating, albeit brief, glimpse into the enduring cinematic fascination with prehistoric giants. Clocking in at a concise 42 minutes, this documentary, featuring Doug McClure, Forrest J. Ackerman, and Jim Danforth, delves into how dinosaurs have been brought to life on screen. It masterfully weaves together trailers and iconic scenes, showcasing the evolution of dinosaur portrayals in film. While not a deep dive into the technical aspects of special effects, it serves as a delightful retrospective for cinephiles and dinosaur enthusiasts alike, celebrating the wonder and terror these creatures have evoked in moviegoers for decades. With a respectable 6.7 rating on IMDb, this short film is a worthy watch for anyone curious about the reptilian stars of Hollywood's past.
