HOLLY DAY

Cinemavixion Review

Director Rick Walls delivers a contemporary reimagining of a classic holiday narrative with "Holly Day." This 2018 film centers on Holly, a driven protagonist who has long sought to outrun her past. However, as the festive season unfolds, the specters she's tried to evade inevitably resurface, forcing a confrontation with unresolved issues. The performances, particularly from Robinne Lee in the titular role, anchor the film's emotional core. Walls skillfully blends the familiar tropes of a holiday story with a fresh perspective on personal growth and reconciliation. While the film may tread familiar thematic ground, its modern sensibility and engaging narrative make it a worthwhile watch for those seeking a thoughtful, character-driven holiday drama that encourages introspection amidst the seasonal cheer.
