HOLLOWAY: THE PRISON WITH THE WORST WOMEN IN HISTORY | WOMEN BEHIND BARS | ABSOLUTE CRIME

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling history of HMP Holloway, a prison that stood for 165 years as Europe's largest facility for women. Its closure in the summer of 2016 marked the end of an era, prompting an investigation by Dr. David Wilson into the institution's extraordinary past. The film promises to uncover the stories of its most infamous inmates, including notorious figures like Myra Hindley, Rose West, and Joanna Dennehy. By examining the lives of these women and the environment that shaped them, the documentary seeks to understand the darker aspects of criminal history within the context of female incarceration. It offers a compelling, albeit grim, look into a significant part of penal history.
