HOLLOW POINT

Cinemavixion Review

Bruce Seth Green's 1987 thriller "Hollow Point" plunges viewers into a harrowing narrative of psychological suspense and escalating peril. Linda Purl delivers a compelling performance as Susan Andrews, a woman whose life is irrevocably shattered when her identification of a murder suspect leads to his acquittal. The film masterfully portrays Susan's descent into a nightmare as the freed suspect embarks on a chilling campaign of terror. Purl navigates this descent with palpable vulnerability and growing resolve, anchoring the film's emotional core. As her world crumbles, Susan's decision to arm herself marks a pivotal turning point, transforming her from victim to a woman determined to reclaim her safety. The supporting cast, including Yaphet Kotto, adds depth to this tense exploration of justice, vengeance, and the terrifying fragility of security.
