HOLIDAY CLASSICS: A STAR SHALL RISE / A STRING OF BLUE BEADS

Cinemavixion Review

This compilation presents two distinct, yet thematically resonant, holiday narratives. "A Star Shall Rise" delves into the timeless legend of the Magi, featuring performances from Raymond Burr, Richard Hale, and John Crawford, offering a visually rich interpretation of a foundational Christmas myth. Complementing this is "A String of Blue Beads," which explores a more intimate, human struggle with loss and the rediscovery of joy. Louis Jourdan portrays a man grappling with grief, whose encounter with a young girl, played by Ellen Cobb-Hill, serves as a catalyst for rekindling his spirit. While the directorial vision and specific release year are not detailed here, the strength of the storytelling and the performances promise a poignant and reflective holiday viewing experience, touching upon the enduring themes of hope and redemption that define the season.
