HILLSIDE CANNIBALS

Cinemavixion Review

"Hillside Cannibals" plunges viewers into a primal fear, drawing parallels to notorious legends and echoing the visceral terror of films like "The Hills Have Eyes." Director Leigh Scott crafts a suspenseful narrative, exploring a chilling legacy of cannibalism passed down through generations. Set against a desolate landscape, the film adeptly builds an atmosphere of dread as unsuspecting victims stumble upon a horrifying family hidden away in seaside caves. The performances effectively convey the desperation and terror of survival against an insatiable, monstrous hunger. While the film may not shy away from graphic depictions, its strength lies in its exploration of inherited darkness and the terrifying possibility of encountering pure, unadulterated savagery. This is a grim, unsettling journey into the heart of human monstrosity, recommended for those with a strong stomach for horror's darkest corners.
