HIGHWAY 395

Cinemavixion Review

Fred Dryer's 'HIGHWAY 395' plunges viewers into the desolate, sun-baked expanse of the Californian desert, a landscape as unforgiving as the criminal elements it harbors. Dryer, who also helms the project, stars as Sheriff Wade, a man tasked with policing a stretch of highway notorious for its illicit activities. The narrative promises a tense convergence of forces: the arrival of drug couriers, the release of a convicted criminal, and the chilling presence of a serial killer. This setup suggests a gritty neo-Western thriller, where the vast emptiness of the desert amplifies the isolation and danger faced by its characters. 'HIGHWAY 395' aims to explore the dark underbelly of rural law enforcement, where survival often depends on navigating treacherous human and environmental conditions.
