HIGHWAY 395

Cinemavixion Review

Fred Dryer, known for his iconic role in the television series "Hunter," takes the helm and stars in "HIGHWAY 395," a gritty action-drama set against the backdrop of a sleepy California town. The film plunges into the dark underbelly of drug trafficking, centered around Violet, an unexpectedly formidable drug lord, and her bumbling associates. Their illicit operations, however, soon attract the attention of the vigilant local sheriff, Rawley Wade, portrayed by Dryer himself. As Wade attempts to dismantle the drug ring, a more sinister threat emerges: a seemingly motiveless serial killer leaves a trail of bodies, escalating the danger in the community. Dryer, also serving as director, crafts a narrative that blends crime thriller elements with intense action, showcasing a descent into chaos where law enforcement must confront not only organized crime but also a terrifyingly unpredictable killer. The film also features a supporting cast including Greg Crooks, Gregory Scott Cummins, and the late, great Geoffrey Lewis, adding depth to this tale of escalating violence and suspense on Highway 395.
