HIGH STAKES | RICH KIDS

Cinemavixion Review

This Danish drama plunges into the opulent yet hollow lives of Denmark's wealthiest youth. "High Stakes | Rich Kids" explores a world where designer labels, luxury vehicles, and inherited fortunes serve as a fragile facade for deep-seated parental neglect. The film delves into the intense peer dynamics fueled by power, money, and the relentless need for validation within this elite circle. As these privileged teenagers grapple with the immense pressure to maintain their status, they turn to a destructive cycle of alcohol, drugs, and casual relationships to numb their emotional pain. For viewers drawn to the intricate social hierarchies and dramatic tensions found in series like "Gossip Girl," this film offers a compelling, albeit dark, look into the consequences of growing up in the lap of extreme luxury without genuine connection.
