HIDE AND BLEED

Cinemavixion Review

"Hide and Bleed" plunges viewers into a disorienting and violent nocturnal odyssey, masterfully helmed by directors Brent Scott Maze and Derek Maze. The film centers on Rick Van Pelt, a celebrated cycling champion whose life unravels into a neon-drenched fever dream following a traumatic night. Fueled by a potent mix of scotch and escalating paranoia, Rick confronts a betrayal involving his fiancé and a scheme to defraud an art dealer. The narrative skillfully weaves in eccentric allies and formidable adversaries, including a renegade detective who emerges as Rick's sole hope for survival against the underworld's grasp and his own inner demons. Starring Balthazar Getty, Clint Howard, and Nicole LaLiberté, the film, released in 2021, garnered 4 wins and 2 nominations, though it holds a 3.7 rating on IMDb. Despite its gritty themes and intense atmosphere, "Hide and Bleed" offers a compelling, albeit dark, exploration of consequence and redemption, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of crime thrillers.
