HERO OF THE UNDERWORLD

Cinemavixion Review

"Hero of the Underworld" presents a gritty dive into the morally ambiguous life of Dylan Berrick, the seemingly composed overnight manager of an opulent city hotel. This 2016 drama, directed by John Vincent, stars Catherine Mary Stewart and Krista Kalmus, among others. The narrative unfolds when a violent encounter within the hotel's walls forces Dylan to confront the dark underbelly of the drug world, a world he is intimately familiar with. As Dylan attempts to rescue Holly, a victim of her boyfriend's brutality, the film explores themes of redemption and the pervasive influence of addiction. Despite a modest reception, with an IMDb rating of 4.0/10, "Hero of the Underworld" offers a compelling, albeit bleak, character study that delves into the hidden struggles beneath polished exteriors.
