HERITAGE RESCUE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a fascinating glimpse into the unique challenges of preserving a piece of New Zealand's history on Rangitoto Island. The narrative thoughtfully explores the delicate balance between maintaining the authentic character of the island's museum from the early 1900s and the necessity of modern upgrades. It prompts reflection on how we approach heritage sites, urging a careful consideration of modernization that respects the past. While the museum's plight is clear, the film invites viewers to appreciate the historical significance and consider the future of such invaluable cultural touchstones.
