HERE KILLS THE BRIDE

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Feifer's "Here Kills the Bride" (2022) plunges viewers into a suspenseful domestic thriller that questions the true motives behind a hasty marriage. Inspired by "The Perfect Bride," the film centers on Jessica, who is understandably alarmed when her brother, Carlos, announces his impending wedding to Grace, a woman he met under dubious circumstances at a strip club. What begins as a sister's concern quickly escalates into a dangerous investigation as Jessica uncovers a web of deceit and peril, putting her own life on the line. The narrative skillfully blurs the lines between Carlos's potential distress and Grace's possible victimhood, keeping the audience guessing until the final moments. Featuring a compelling performance from Ashlee Füss as the determined Jessica, "Here Kills the Bride" offers a taut and engaging viewing experience that explores the darker undercurrents of family secrets and unexpected relationships.
