HENRI

Cinemavixion Review

In "Henri," we witness a compelling narrative that contrasts spiritual discipline with the harsh realities of a world steeped in crime. The film centers on Henri, a man trained in martial arts and spiritual study, who seeks a life of peace. However, his ideals are challenged when local drug dealers bring terror to a small town, and the authorities are unable to intervene. This sets the stage for Henri to confront the violence, showcasing a struggle between his pacifist upbringing and the necessity of action. The performances, particularly featuring Eric Roberts, anchor the film's emotional core, exploring themes of duty, peace, and the difficult choices one must make when confronted with injustice. While the film delves into action, it remains grounded in Henri's internal conflict, making for a thought-provoking viewing experience.
