HELP! MY PET HATES ME

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, 'Help! My Pet Hates Me,' offers a darkly humorous and surprisingly candid exploration of the less-than-adoring side of our domestic companions. Through a series of anecdotal 'evidence,' the film posits that our beloved pets may harbor secret resentments and even malicious intent. The compilation features tales of extreme pet misbehavior, including a Labrador whose actions led to a fatal accident, two dogs responsible for a kitchen fire, and a trio of dogs implicated in an assault on their owner. While presented with a lighthearted tone, the underlying premise taps into a common, albeit exaggerated, trope of pet ownership, questioning the idealized image of the perfectly obedient animal. The film's genre classification suggests elements of documentary, comedy, and perhaps even true crime, promising a unique viewing experience for those who enjoy unconventional takes on everyday life.
