HELLO, ARE YOU THERE?

Cinemavixion Review

"Hello, Are You There?" offers a poignant exploration of family, memory, and the enduring echoes of the past. Set against the backdrop of a changing world, the film delicately unfurls the story of the Lambert family, centering on Tim's return to his childhood home following his father's death. The narrative skillfully weaves together the seemingly mundane acquisition of a telephone in 1909 with a present-day discovery that resonates with decades of unspoken history. Director Michael Jason Allen crafts an intimate atmosphere, allowing the performances of Buddy Campbell, Audrey Ann Gambach, and Rhett Ashley Crosby to breathe. While the runtime is concise, the film packs a significant emotional punch, inviting viewers to reflect on their own connections to family heirlooms and the stories they hold. It's a quiet, contemplative piece that rewards patient observation with a rich tapestry of human experience.
