HEATSEEKER

Cinemavixion Review

Albert Pyun's "Heatseeker" plunges viewers into a gritty, near-future world where martial arts prowess collides with cybernetic enhancements. The film centers on a kickboxing champion, portrayed with kinetic energy by Keith Cooke, who finds himself ensnared in a deadly tournament after his fiancée is kidnapped. The narrative, co-written by Pyun himself, cleverly blends high-stakes action with a personal revenge plot. Tina Cote and Norbert Weisser provide solid support as key figures in the conspiracy. While the film's production values may reflect its 1995 origins, the core concept remains compelling, exploring themes of technological overreach and the human spirit's resilience against mechanization. "Heatseeker" offers a solid dose of B-movie thrills for fans of action-packed sci-fi.
