HEARTLINES

Cinemavixion Review

The independent drama "Heartlines" (2012) delves into the poignant connection forged between two disparate men, Manny and JP, grappling with profound personal voids. Set against the backdrop of affluent Long Island and the bustling streets of Queens, the film chronicles their unlikely kinship, which blossoms into a surrogate father-son dynamic. As they navigate the complexities of their pasts, "Heartlines" explores themes of reconciliation, present-day challenges, and the enduring hope for a brighter future, cautioning against repeating the mistakes that could derail their progress. While specific critical reception and awards are not widely documented, the film offers a thoughtful character study on the universal need for connection and understanding.
