HEARTBEAT

Cinemavixion Review

Arlette Rogers, a spirited young pickpocket, finds her life irrevocably altered when a mission to steal a valuable watch from a handsome diplomat goes awry, leading to an unexpected romance. This engaging film, helmed by the capable Sam Wood, offers a delightful blend of espionage and burgeoning affection. The ensemble cast, featuring the talents of Adolphe Menjou and Melville Cooper alongside Rogers and Jean-Pierre Aumont, brings a charming energy to the proceedings. While the specific year isn't provided, the film's classic Hollywood feel and the description of it as a remake suggest a production with a rich cinematic lineage. It's a story that cleverly explores themes of deception and genuine connection, proving that sometimes the best-laid plans lead to the most rewarding detours.
