HEALING JOURNEY | SPIRIT RIDERS

Cinemavixion Review

In "Healing Journey | Spirit Riders," director Kacie Lewis (in a powerful turn that defies her young age) delivers a poignant family drama centered on a rebellious 17-year-old girl grappling with profound guilt and anger following the tragic loss of her younger brother. Sentenced to a work-release program at the Spirit Riders equine therapy camp after an arrest, she is initially resistant to her new surroundings. However, a profound connection begins to form with Blaze, a seasoned racehorse. Under the firm but fair tutelage of the ranch's owner, Kacie embarks on the challenging task of retraining Blaze. This process becomes a powerful catalyst for her own healing, enabling her to confront her past, find self-forgiveness, and ultimately liberate her spirit. This film resonates with the emotional depth and heartwarming themes found in beloved equestrian dramas, offering a compelling narrative about the restorative power of the human-animal bond.
