HEAD ON A PLATE

Cinemavixion Review

Gary Dean Orona's "Head on a Plate" plunges viewers into a chilling sci-fi horror narrative set near the enigmatic Area 51. The film posits a terrifying premise: shapeshifting aliens, long-time residents of Earth, have begun to prey on humanity, specifically targeting human brains and leaving a trail of decapitated victims. Starring Kamarra Cole, Daisy Ducati, and Seth Fischer, this 2023 release attempts to blend extraterrestrial invasion with visceral horror elements. While the concept offers potential for suspense and dread, the film's reception, as indicated by its IMDb rating of 1.7/10, suggests it struggles to fully capitalize on its ambitious setup. "Head on a Plate" is a film that explores familiar alien invasion tropes with a particularly gruesome twist, aiming to unsettle audiences with its depiction of an ancient, predatory extraterrestrial presence on our planet.
