HE DRIVES AT NIGHT

Cinemavixion Review

Chuck W. Chapman's "He Drives at Night" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on Hal Warren, a crime writer whose past work unexpectedly draws the attention of a sinister figure known only as "The Chaos Killer." This psychological thriller, released in 2019, masterfully crafts an atmosphere of dread as Warren finds himself blackmailed into documenting the killer's horrific acts in real-time. The film, noted for its unique perspective, is told entirely through the eyes of the killer and his unwilling scribe, offering a stark character study in insanity and terror. With a cast featuring Chapman himself alongside Wallace Krebs and Butch Patrick, "He Drives at Night" is a compelling exploration of obsession and the dark impulses that lurk beneath the surface of society, drawing inspiration from real-life horrors.
