HAUNTED TRAIL

Cinemavixion Review

Robin Givens and Raven Magwood's 'Haunted Trail' plunges viewers into a familiar yet effective slasher scenario. The film centers on a group of college friends seeking thrills on a local haunted trail, only to find their manufactured scares replaced by genuine terror. As a masked assailant systematically eliminates the group, the narrative cleverly weaves in a personal connection to the unfolding horror, raising the stakes beyond a simple cat-and-mouse chase. While the plot may tread familiar ground within the genre, the execution, bolstered by a cast including Desi Banks and Marquise C. Brown, delivers palpable tension and suspense. The film's strength lies in its ability to make the supernatural feel grounded, forcing the characters, and the audience, to confront a darkness that is disturbingly close to home. It's a solid entry for fans of suspenseful horror with a touch of personal drama.
