HARPOON

Cinemavixion Review

Rob Grant's 'Harpoon' plunges viewers into a claustrophobic psychological thriller where the unforgiving vastness of the ocean mirrors the suffocating weight of its characters' secrets. The film masterfully navigates the treacherous waters of friendship, betrayal, and burgeoning desire as three companions find themselves stranded on a yacht. Munro Chambers, Chris Gray, and Emily Tyra deliver compelling performances, embodying the escalating tension and dark impulses that surface under duress. With a sharp script that balances dark humor with genuine suspense, 'Harpoon' is a taut exploration of human nature pushed to its limits. Despite its limited box office, the film garnered significant critical acclaim, evidenced by a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, solidifying its status as a noteworthy entry in the thriller genre.
