HARA KIRI

Cinemavixion Review

A poignant and raw exploration of youth, friendship, and the choices that define our final moments, "Hara Kiri" (2016) offers a unique perspective on love and mortality. Directed by Aitch Alberto, the film follows August and Beto, two street skaters grappling with the profound reality of their last day on Earth. The narrative delves into themes of contemporary youth culture, the enduring bonds of friendship, and the complex nature of love, all set against a backdrop that is both intimate and existential. While the film may not have garnered widespread awards, its independent spirit and heartfelt portrayal of its characters' emotional journey make it a compelling watch for those interested in character-driven dramas that tackle significant themes with a fresh, authentic voice.
