HANNA RANCH

Cinemavixion Review

Mitch Dickman's "Hanna Ranch" offers a poignant and vital portrait of Kirk Hanna, a visionary cattleman grappling with the erosion of a traditional way of life in Colorado. Dubbed the “eco-cowboy,” Hanna championed sustainable ranching practices, striving to balance environmental preservation with the demands of his heritage. Dickman masterfully weaves Hanna's personal narrative with the broader environmental challenges facing the American West. The documentary, lauded with a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.3/10 on IMDb, showcases a compelling blend of biography and social commentary. While Hanna's personal struggles are at the heart of the film, his legacy of environmental stewardship, carried on by his family, resonates as a powerful call to action. This is an essential watch for anyone interested in the future of land, legacy, and the enduring spirit of the West.
