"Half a Sinner" emerges as a delightful pre-Code gem, masterfully directed by Al Christie. The film charts the unexpected journey of Anne Gladden, a prim schoolteacher portrayed with charming vulnerability by Heather Angel, who trades her spectacles for a day of exhilarating, albeit illicit, adventure. The narrative gains momentum as Anne, through a series of comical misadventures, commandeers a car with a rather grim surprise in the trunk, inadvertently drawing her into the orbit of the roguish Larry Cameron, played with charisma by John 'Dusty' King.
