HADRIAN'S WALL: THE NORTHERNMOST FRONTIER OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the monumental Hadrian's Wall, a testament to Roman engineering and imperial ambition. Commissioned by Emperor Hadrian and built over a decade starting in 122 AD, this 73-mile stone barrier defined the northern edge of Roman Britain. It stood as a bulwark against the tribes to the north, separating the Roman world from the perceived 'barbarians'. The program offers a valuable window into the daily lives and military strategies of the Romans during their occupation, bringing to life the historical significance of this iconic frontier.
