Cinemavixion Review

Guy Martin's exploration into the genesis of the WW1 tank is a compelling journey into a pivotal moment in military history. The documentary, anchored by Martin's characteristic enthusiasm and practical approach, delves into the 'how' and 'why' behind the birth of these formidable machines. It effectively bridges the gap between the abstract concept of modern warfare and the tangible reality of these early behemoths. By examining their initial deployment in 1916 and the intricate process of their construction, the film offers a fresh perspective on technological evolution in conflict. This is more than just a historical account; it's an engaging look at innovation under pressure, highlighting how a single innovation could fundamentally reshape the battlefield and pave the way for future military advancements.
