GUNFIGHTER'S MOON

Cinemavixion Review

A compelling Western narrative unfolds in "Gunfighter's Moon," helmed by director Larry Ferguson. Lance Henriksen delivers a stoic performance as Frank Morgan, a notorious gunfighter drawn back into a past he desperately tried to outrun. The film skillfully navigates themes of redemption and the inescapable pull of one's history, as Frank must confront his former life to protect the family of the woman he once loved. Kay Lenz and David McIlwraith provide solid support, grounding the emotional core of the story. While the plot centers on a familiar Western trope—a lone gunman protecting a town—Ferguson injects a sense of weary fatalism and complex moral choices. The film explores the difficult compromises demanded by loyalty and the lingering consequences of a life lived by the gun, offering a thoughtful character study within its action-packed framework.
