GUNFIGHTER'S MOON

Cinemavixion Review

Larry Ferguson's 'Gunfighter's Moon' presents a compelling, albeit familiar, Western narrative. Lance Henriksen delivers a typically stoic performance as Frank Morgan, a notorious gunfighter drawn back into a life he tried to leave behind by a plea from his former lover. The film excels in its exploration of regret and the enduring pull of past connections, even as Frank grapples with a new reality involving his ex-wife and a daughter he never knew. While the plot, involving the protection of a sheriff against vengeful gunmen, treads well-worn territory, Henriksen's gravitas anchors the story. The supporting cast, including Kay Lenz and David McIlwraith, provide solid performances that complement the central drama. 'Gunfighter's Moon' offers a thoughtful character study wrapped in a classic Western framework, a solid choice for fans of the genre seeking a mature exploration of redemption and duty.
