Rachel Lee Goldenberg's "Grimm's Snow White" offers a visually engaging, albeit somewhat uneven, retelling of the classic fairy tale. The film plunges into a dark fantasy realm where the demise of the King at the claws of reptilian beasts sets the stage for a tense power struggle. Eliza Bennett embodies Snow White with a captivating blend of vulnerability and burgeoning resilience as she flees into an enchanted, perilous forest. Jane March delivers a chilling performance as the power-hungry Queen, whose machinations drive the narrative forward. While the film embraces its fantastical elements, its pacing occasionally falters, and some narrative threads feel underdeveloped.
