GRIDLOCK

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Imperiale's 2017 film "Gridlock" offers a claustrophobic and intense character study, anchored by a compelling performance from Jeff Houkal as David Martin. The narrative unfolds through a series of increasingly devastating phone calls, trapping Martin in an emotional and metaphorical confined space as his life crumbles around him. Houkal masterfully conveys the escalating rage and despair of a man pushed to his absolute limit. While the film garnered a single win and a respectable 7.1 rating on IMDb, its tight focus on Martin's psychological unraveling makes it a potent, albeit bleak, cinematic experience for those seeking raw, character-driven drama.
