GRAND TOUR: DISASTER IN TIME

Cinemavixion Review

David Twohy's 'Grand Tour: Disaster in Time' offers a compelling blend of mystery and science fiction, anchored by a strong performance from Jeff Daniels. The narrative centers on Ben Wilson, a widower renovating a mansion with his daughter, who soon finds his plans disrupted by enigmatic future tourists. The film expertly weaves a tale of time travel and impending doom, as Wilson races against the clock to protect his family and town from a destructive fate. While the plot might feel familiar, the execution, particularly the performances of Daniels and Ariana Richards, elevates the material. The inclusion of futuristic 'disaster-groupies' adds a unique, albeit quirky, dimension to the conflict. With a solid 6.4 rating on IMDb and a 61% on Rotten Tomatoes, this 1991 feature is a worthwhile watch for fans of intriguing sci-fi thrillers that explore the consequences of tampering with time.
