GOODBYE, BUTTERFLY

Cinemavixion Review

Tyler Wayne's 2021 thriller, "Goodbye, Butterfly," delves into the dark heart of grief and suspicion. The film centers on a grieving father, portrayed with raw emotion by Adam Donshik, who becomes consumed by the belief that his peculiar neighbor is responsible for the murder of his young daughter. As the man's obsession grows, the narrative masterfully builds tension, blurring the lines between justice and vigilante fervor. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim or major awards, its strength lies in its unflinching portrayal of a father's descent into paranoia and its exploration of the devastating impact of loss. With a runtime of 98 minutes and a supporting cast including Andy Lauer and Marie Burke, "Goodbye, Butterfly" offers a compelling, albeit grim, cinematic experience that probes the depths of human anguish and the desperate search for answers in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
