GODMONSTER OF INDIAN FLATS

Cinemavixion Review

Fredric Hobbs' "Godmonster of Indian Flats" from 1973 presents a uniquely bizarre premise: a mutated sheep embryo grows into a terrifying, full-sized monster that terrorizes a Nevada town. The film, while perhaps not a mainstream critical darling, has carved out a cult following, as evidenced by its surprisingly strong 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Christopher Brooks and Stuart Lancaster anchor the narrative as the scientist and rancher caught in the unfolding horror. The film's low-budget charm and outlandish concept contribute to its enduring appeal, offering a peculiar blend of sci-fi and creature feature that remains a curious watch for genre enthusiasts. Its cult status suggests a dedicated audience appreciates its singular vision and execution, making it a noteworthy piece of 1970s independent horror cinema.
