GIVING OUR BORING SUMMER HOUSE A BREATHTAKING MODERN MAKEOVER | MY RETREAT

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary-style exposé delves into the architectural reimagining of a summer residence, spearheaded by the visionary architect Thomas Moore. Anne and Lyman, the homeowners, sought a dwelling that would not only serve as a summer sanctuary but also accommodate family gatherings and neighborhood events. The narrative gracefully unfolds the transformation of a traditionally designed house, infused with a modern sensibility, into a breathtaking retreat. The film highlights the successful integration of functional needs with aesthetic aspirations, resulting in a space that is both expansive and intimate, perfectly suited for its intended purposes. It's a compelling look at how thoughtful design can elevate a living space into a statement of personal style and communal hospitality.
