GIRL CLOCK

Cinemavixion Review

Jennifer Ussi's 2010 Australian comedy, "Girl Clock!", offers a humorous yet poignant exploration of mid-life anxieties surrounding motherhood and aging. Starring Veronica Neave, Queenie van de Zandt, and Catarina Hebbard, the film centers on Christine, a commitment-phobic woman approaching forty who finds herself unexpectedly grappling with a ticking biological clock. Her journey is mirrored by her friends, Margo and Mikki, who face their own distinct life challenges. The narrative skillfully weaves together themes of friendship, the inevitability of change, and the often-comedic struggles against nature's course. While the film garnered a modest 5.3 rating on IMDb, its relatable premise and comedic execution make it a worthwhile watch for those navigating similar life stages or simply appreciating a well-crafted ensemble comedy.
