GHOST IMAGE

Cinemavixion Review

This 2007 thriller, 'Ghost Image,' directed by Jack Snyder, delves into the psychological aftermath of grief and the unsettling possibility of the supernatural. Starring Elisabeth Röhm, the film centers on a video editor grappling with the sudden loss of her boyfriend. Her descent into obsession with his final video recordings blurs the lines between genuine communication from beyond the grave and the unraveling of her own sanity. While the plot treads familiar ground in the 'grief and ghosts' subgenre, its exploration of how technology can both connect us and isolate us in times of sorrow offers a contemporary edge. Despite a modest reception, 'Ghost Image' presents a compelling, albeit at times chilling, narrative that questions the nature of reality and remembrance.
