GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary-style program delves into the overwhelming world of hoarding through the personal story of Barry Phillips, a 42-year-old man whose passion for television memorabilia has consumed his living space. The narrative compellingly portrays the struggle of an individual whose hobby has spiraled into a 'living nightmare,' rendering his home virtually unnavigable. We witness the profound impact of this compulsion on his daily life, making it nearly impossible to host guests. The intervention by his brother Mark, and the support of specialists Nick and Abigail, offers a glimmer of hope as they embark on the challenging task of helping Barry reclaim his life and his home. It's a poignant look at the complexities of addiction and the courage it takes to confront it.
