FURRY NIGHTS

Cinemavixion Review

J. Zachary Thurman's "Furry Nights" plunges into the unsettling territory where accidental tragedy ignites a brutal quest for vengeance. This 2016 horror offering, featuring performances from Keith Dowsett, Amelia Hakleroad, and Allison Joy McDaniel, presents a premise that is as bizarre as it is chilling. The narrative centers on a group of teenagers whose encounter with individuals in animal masks takes a dire turn when one of the 'furries' is mistaken for a real animal and killed. What follows is a relentless pursuit as the masked group, led by the formidable Mr. Fox, seeks retribution. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim, its unique, albeit provocative, concept and commitment to its dark premise offer a distinctive viewing experience for those drawn to unconventional horror narratives. The film's raw execution and the escalating tension make it a noteworthy, if niche, entry in the genre.
