FUNNY MONEY

Cinemavixion Review

"Funny Money" offers a comedic caper centered on an accountant, portrayed by Chevy Chase, who finds himself in possession of a briefcase containing a substantial sum of illicit cash. The premise, a classic mix-up scenario, quickly escalates as the protagonist and his wife become entangled with the criminal underworld. While the film might not reach the heights of cinematic brilliance, it provides a lighthearted diversion. The direction by Leslie Greif attempts to balance the farcical elements with the escalating stakes, and Chase's familiar comedic persona anchors the narrative. It's a modest entry in the comedy genre, exploring themes of greed and the unexpected consequences of sudden fortune, appealing to those who enjoy straightforward, character-driven humor.
