FROM BENEATH

Cinemavixion Review

This independent horror offering, 'From Beneath,' delves into primal fears with a narrative centered on a terrifying transformation. The film, directed by David Doucette, presents a chilling premise where a mysterious bite unleashes a monstrous change, forcing a couple to confront not only an external threat but also the horror of losing a loved one and becoming a monster themselves. While the film may not boast blockbuster budgets, its strength lies in its commitment to exploring the psychological dread associated with losing control and the breakdown of relationships under extreme duress. The performances, particularly from Lauren Watson and Jamie Temple, navigate the escalating terror and emotional turmoil effectively. 'From Beneath' is a commendable effort within the genre, offering a raw and unsettling experience that taps into deep-seated anxieties.
