FRANZ VON WERRA: THE WWII PILOT WHO ESCAPED TWICE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary chronicles the remarkable story of Franz von Werra, a German fighter pilot whose wartime exploits extended beyond aerial combat to encompass two daring escapes from Allied prisoner-of-war camps. The narrative focuses on the charismatic von Werra's ingenuity and resilience as he evaded British and Canadian captors during World War II. While the film is presented as a historical account, its effectiveness lies in its portrayal of a unique individual's struggle for freedom amidst the chaos of war, offering a compelling look at a lesser-known facet of the conflict.
