FRACTURED PEACE

Cinemavixion Review

Osama Rai's "Fractured Peace" offers a poignant and timely examination of the enduring complexities of the Northern Ireland conflict, nearly two decades after the landmark Good Friday Agreement. This documentary, partially filmed during the centenary celebrations of the Easter Uprising, delves into the conflict's deep-rooted origins and critically assesses the fragility and strength of the current peace. While the film's runtime of 58 minutes suggests a concise overview, its narrative promises a thorough exploration of the historical forces that shaped the civil war and the ongoing efforts to maintain stability. "Fractured Peace" is a valuable addition for anyone seeking to understand the nuanced legacy of British rule in Ireland and the persistent challenges of reconciliation.
